Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict countless of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist driving a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.
