Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Regional Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a "massive" and continuing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any impact is uncertain and the United States has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - said they have shot down missiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the Iranian people to revolt against the government.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," it added.
It said debris landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some material damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
