Football Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however can the Premier League frontrunners bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Football and Family Life

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football team," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' only away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not do that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to call. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
