Democrats Disclose Newest Collection of Jeffrey Epstein Photos as Justice Department Deadline Looms
Oversight Panel
The House investigative committee has released a set of roughly 70 photographs obtained from the property of late found guilty individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.
This marks the latest in a series of publication from a cache of more than 95,000 photos the committee has secured from Epstein's estate. It contains photographs of quotes from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and censored pictures of women's foreign passports.
This disclosure arrives mere hours before the 19th of December deadline for the DOJ to release each files related to its investigation into Epstein.
"These photos pose further inquiries about exactly what the Department of Justice has in its holdings," said the Democratic lead of the panel, Robert Garcia.
Contents in the Images Released
Several of the photos made public on recently show Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky on a private plane; Bill Gates positioned beside a female whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent wealthy, powerful men to be seen in Epstein's estate images released by the House Oversight Committee - formerly disclosed photos also show US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, former US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.
Being pictured in the images is not proof of any misconduct, and many of the photographed figures have stated they were in no way implicated in Epstein's unlawful actions.
In a statement released with the photograph publication, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not supply explanatory details or timeframes for the images.
"Images were selected to offer the general populace with transparency into a representative sample of the photographs obtained from the estate, and to give understanding into Epstein's associates and his extremely disturbing behavior," the announcement says.

The publication also includes several photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita inscribed in ink across various areas of a woman's body, such as her chest, foot, hip, and spine. Lolita narrates the story of a young girl who was manipulated by a middle-aged literature professor.
An example of a quote from the book written across a female's upper body reads, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to land, at three, on the teeth".
The release also contains a number of photographs of women's travel documents and identification documents from countries around the world, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
Investigative Body
The majority of the information on the documents, such as identities and DOBs, is obscured but the panel stated in a press release that the travel documents are associated with "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were involved with".
An additional photograph depicts Epstein positioned at a desk intimately in the company of three women whose faces have been obscured - one individual has her palm on Epstein's chest under his garment, and another is crouching to examine a nearby computer. Epstein appears to be assisting the third individual fasten a wristband.
Investigative Body
A further image disclosed is a screenshot of SMS messages from an unidentified person who claims they have been sent "some girls" and are asking for "$$1,000 per female".
Photo Release Occurs Before DOJ Deadline
The body has many thousands of photographs in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "both explicit and everyday," its statement on recently noted.
The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the holdings of Epstein, who died in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking, in August.
The photos and records the Epstein estate's representatives submitted to the body are separate from what is commonly called "Epstein-related records". That material are papers within the Department of Justice's control connected to its independent inquiry into Epstein.
Under the recently passed law, which Donald Trump made law in November, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its documents. The scope of the contents contained in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's expected that a large amount of the content will be extensively censored, comparable to the committee's materials
